Trash à Cordes isn't what you'd normally expect form a string trio. With violinist David Escudero, violinist/singer Nicole Miller and cellist/guitarist/singer/composer Pablo García, the group was born in Brussels amidst a mix of influences, experiences and personalities so different that it cannot be labeled or classified. Despite this fact, it does share some ties with classical music, Argentine folkore and tango, jazz, gypsy jazz, and American folk, genres that may not also be acting on the surface, though influential underneath.
In contrast to this heterogenous mix of styles, this evening's program will be made up entirely of music of Argentine origin: traditional 'chacareras' and 'zambas' peppered here and there with a tango or two. Original compositions will also bridge the traditional and contemporary sounds.
After this concert you will be offered a free drink on the occasion of the National Day of Argentina.
